Founder/CEO
Maurice Harrison is Founder of Peer Outreach Solutions and an honorably discharged disabled combat veteran of the United States Army and District of Columbia National Guard - serving a total of 15 years. He is a disabled combat veteran who served in the Persian Gulf War. A native Washingtonian, he attended the District of Columbia Public School System and continued his education at the University of the District of Columbia focusing on addictions counseling. Mr. Harrison is also certified as a Peer Support Specialist, Family Peer Specialist, Forensic Peer Specialist, WRAP facilitator, Member-At-Large of the Veterans Mental Health Advisory Council at the DC VA Medical Center, and Veterans Benefits Claims Representative for NABVETS. He recently retired from the DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he worked in the Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center program serving veterans with mental health conditions. Mr. Harrison has dedicated his life to lending a voice to individuals struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. His love for the people and his communities is demonstrated in his work.
Founder/COO
Ms. Craig is sole proprietor of P.A.C. Consulting, an honorably discharged Veteran of the United States Army, committed to civic engagement, activism, veteran advocacy, and volunteerism. Ms. Craig has an extensive record of public service for which she has earned several accolades including the President’s Volunteer Service Gold, Bronze, Silver, and Lifetime Awards. She earned a Magnum Cum Laude Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Augusta State University, a Sum Cum Laude Master’s in Public Policy from New England College, is an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer (A.S.I.S.T.), is a certified coalition builder, and an integrative health and wellness facilitator for the Department of Veterans Affairs using its whole health and wellness model. Ms. Craig is a graduate of Leadership Brevard: Brevard Insight, Leadership Augusta; and Chaired several Boards of Director. She is the Chairperson of the Mental Health Advisory Council at the Washington D.C. VA Medical Center, Co-Chairperson of VISN 5 Collaboration of Councils, a member of MIRECC Veterans Advisory Panel. She serves on Melwood Veterans Service Advisory Council, Easter Seals Veterans Advisory Council, AARP Veterans Engagement Team, veteran representative of DC VAMC Integrative Health and Wellness committee, and is the development chairperson, public relations and policy development committee chair of The Ryan Clark Scholarship and Community Service Award, and The Ryan Clark Memorial Committee.
Executive Director
Steven K. Jenkins is one of the founding members of Peer Outreach Solutions (POSi). Mr Jenkins is originally from Jacksonville Florida receiving his education in the Duval County school system. He is a Honorably Discharged Diisabled Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served our nation in a support role during Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Mr. Jenkins has earned an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies, and received Program Management (PMP) training in addition to holding various high profile releases of information as a Government Information Specialist.. Mr. Jenkins is a proud graduate of the Washington DC VA Medical Center Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC) program, as well as a member of the Veterans Mental Health Advisory Council at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. Mr. Jenkins states mental health and overall wellness of his fellow veterans and citizens are his life’s passion, and that his goal is to ensure that all those who seek help, receive that help in a speedy and dignified manner.
